Rescue services are amongst the first responders in situations where life is in jeopardy
- They respond to 999 calls concerning a wide range of emergencies including fires, road traffic collisions, specialist rescue incidents, flooding, collapsed buildings, chemical spillages, search and rescue incidents at sea
- Provide witness statements for Coroner’s inquest
Works alongside:
- Other emergency services: PSNI, NIAS
- Coroners Service for Northern Ireland
The Standard of Bereavement Care is enhanced when:
Accurate information is obtained regarding nature and location of emergency, number of casualties, any risks/hazards
